It flashed properly with no issue then when restarted it no longer boots up... I opened the MOD folder, ran showmsg1 and it opened the flash thing it all went by nicely ... just can't boot
Great now I have to go spend 30 bucks on a floppy drive and chance the fact it might not work so I'll be out 30 bucks and a laptop....
Hi Ipmark, Thanks for helping. So this is with Sony SLIC 2.1 and Sony SLP, right? Anybody tested this before on compatible SZ? BTW, I have the SZ770N, but I think 780N and 770N uses the same BIOS. Thanks again. jerry0000
Thanks! I think I mixed up. SLP is for the OS, not BIOS. All I need is the BIOS mod, not the OS SLP cert. Let me try and get back to you. Will flash from DOS or Hiren BootCD work? as I do not have (any version of) Win installed currently. Thanks, jerry
I'm not sure what type of flasher Ipmark includes, but flash from dos (or you may try HBCD too) is always recommended.
looks like only the winphlash. Can I use the generic bios flash tool in HBCD, or do I need to boot up with HBCD, and use the phoneix specific DOS plash tool? thanks, jerry
As Ipmark supplied Winphlash, then better to install Windows & then flash the bios. Because improper parameters while flashing from dos can also be dangerous.
