Hi Folks! I don't know if this is the right thread to ask, BUT......... I am in possession of a Advent 8117 laptop (a Uniwill L71II3 clone if i'm not mistaken). From the research I've done, I cannot find a site which has a BIOS update (or even the original 1.00) to download, SO, does anyone know of a reliable utility which can save my notebooks BIOS so that I can do 'the business' on it and SLIC 2.1 it? Look forward to any help you can offer. Thanks, in advance. Andy
If its a Phoenix bios, then you can't backup it by any software cause the platform id can't be backed up.
