Copy all files from biosmod package on a bootable USB stick, boot the PC from it and, at the DOS prompt, type Mod and press Enter.

It isn't so difficult, isn't it?

    P.S.
    I'm Italian too :)

    Battery check removed.

Replace Mod.bat file in the pendrive with this modified one and repeat the flash process (unzip it before !).

WAIT FOR THE COMPLETE FLASH PROCESS BEFORE REBOOT THE PC !!

    Hi Folks!

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask, BUT.........

I am in possession of a Advent 8117 laptop (a Uniwill L71II3 clone if i'm not mistaken).

From the research I've done, I cannot find a site which has a BIOS update (or even the original 1.00) to download, SO, does anyone know of a reliable utility which can save my notebooks BIOS so that I can do 'the business' on it and SLIC 2.1 it?

Look forward to any help you can offer.

    Thanks, in advance.

    Andy

If its a Phoenix bios, then you can't backup it by any software cause the platform id can't be backed up.

    :(
