Right... I think it is time to give in and ask for help. I have tried many times to mod the bios of my HP DV5145EA and get windows 7 working but have had no luck so far. I hope this is not ask too much but I think I need someone to mod my bios for me and also point me to the right OEM-CERT as well as a key compatible with the BIOS and wind7 DVD I have (en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460). As I think I am going round in circles and making probably a silly mistake, Iwould like to have a fresh go at it following clear and simple guidance. I have just installed the latest bios from HP website back and am in the process of doing a fresh win7 install too. I am aware this is a process of many stages and am willing to do it gradually step by step. This way I can wave my frustration away . Please give me a buzz if you are willing to guide me through.
