Without the cert, maybe request another SLIC? If you have done a 2.0 SLIC mod, the rest is the same. I can look into the bios for the additional mods, but I am not hopeful.
I have never inserted an SLIC only updated an existing SLIC useing the mod tool posted on this site. If you could look into the BIOS for the CPU and RAM support I would be greatfull. I know the board will support them its just BIOS does not correctly report them and its a BIOS issue. I tried opening the BIOS with the Phoenix BIOS editor but its beyond my skills. If you able to do it then throw the Sager SLIC in there also. I will get the CERT myself either from the CERT thread or I will asked a Sager owner on another forum to DUMP their CERT for me. Thank you very much in advance.
I would need a microcode compatible with your chipset and board. is there an update from a newer board or similar chipset board. Microcode updates are hit and miss.By this another board with phoenix bios and the cpu support you wish. Again, not hopeful.
I can send you the BIOS from my other laptop. It also has nForce Chipset and AMD CPU and SUpports 4GB RAM. Which it had the same problem I am haing now till I updated the BIOS on it. Please note that the chipsets are not the same but are both nForce ones nforce4 and ones nforce5 I do not have another nforce4 computer.
How about the entire bios file?? The microcode is maybe possible, the RAM limit is not. SLIC is definitely possible.
Ok so are you able to add the CPU microcode since they are the same? Also the board did accept the 4GB RAM and does report it as 2.8GB in BIOS and 4GB in windows with 2.75 usable that why I thought it was a BIOS limit.
No, I mean EXACTLY the same..You will gain nothing by me changing it. The same cpu codes are in both. Maybe a ram module problem. Have you tried swapping them or using different modules? I cannot access the registers mentioned to check or change in the bios. The ram issue is not fixable by me.
Thats odd. Because the BIOS I gave you for the microcodes supports both AMD TL-62 and TL-64 and the Clevo says its an unknown cpu. It boots but does not corecctly idnetify the CPU in BIOS or windows. As far as the RAM the modules are fine. They show up correctly in other systems. Oh well I guess. Maybe I will find a BIOS update somewhere this system has so many names there should be one out there somewhere. Thank for trying though. If someone else wants to look at this please let me know. Thanks again for your time 911medic.
