False reading I had used a loader for Windows 7. Is it possible that the RWE report can give a false reading since my laptop continues to default to Slic 2.0 for Vista? Is the a way to modify the bios so that the default reads Slic 2.1 for Windows 7?
I was able to get the BIOS unstalled after a ton of trial and error (finally had to make a Windows 98 boot disk including the manufacturers install files and the updated BIOS (renamed)). However, I cannot get any any of the Certs from OPA tool to install. Using the SLIC toolbox i can see that the bios flash did install properly and i now have the SLIC 2.1. here is a screenshot showing this---I tried to install multiple different certs to no avail. any idea where to go from here? Sorry to bug you but I have spent hours trying to figure out what I may have done wrong and am totally stuck. View attachment 21457
ok, then it's good enough for the bios serg008's I can feel comfortable? its code is: Samsung NP300E5X-S01IN, my code is: Samsung NP300E5X-A04IT
I tried a few times and can't install any of the above files. I had opened the original and moded bios file and received the following error mesaage: "The specified BIOS data file is not correct for this model. Please specify the correct BIOS data file for this model". Can somone modify v1.16 bios file for me? I think v1.17 bios files is for differant model. Is the motherboard programmed to default to Vista Slic 2.0? I used the Phoenix Tool to change the Slic, however, it continuously defaults back to Slic 2.0. Thank you
