Looking for either an original BIOS so I can mod it, or an already 2.1 slicced BIOS for a SONY VAIO VGN-FE880E (PCG-7V2L). They don't have any BIOS files on the support site and I can't find a valid link anywhere on the web. I see it has been posted in the forums before but the links are dead. I'm also not sure if I could boot with a usb on this aspire 5000, It only has cd, hdd and floppy drive support for boot. So Unless I make a cd I couldn't flash the bios. Is there anyway to do it from windows?
Says something like inapplible program or batch file when I try and run in regaular dos or freedos or hierins boot cd/mini xp...
Was wondering if anyone help me with this i already have slic in bios but wasn't sure where else to post this for help/ Samsung NP300E5C I am using Bios Version P04RAC but when i upgrade it to P07RAC i lose the option of SATA GEN 3 Mode option in the bios and it reverts to Sata 2. Using a SSD in this laptop is great on Sata 3 but would really like the latest bios installed is there a way i can mod it to show this option in the newer bios? Please help or point me in direction of how i mod this i couldnt find a option to also add my bios on here as attachment
