If you are speaking of 911medic, he always mod his bios....I have no clue as to why mine is 3 mb....I never think about it and it has no bearing whatsoever of whether his not modified and mine is...that is not the factor.

i not sure of the procedure but Busykid508 usually inclueds detailed instructions on how to flash. also the possible reason for the larger size could be due to the original bios, modded one, flash utilities, recovery utilities, certs, intructions, ect. all these do add up in size. i`m not home,(at work using my phone) to download and look at the files to view but thats my fair guess.
on a side note did you fix the issues with the usb yet?

Well, I finally got it to work. I flashed with the following switches PH161700.EXE BIOS.ROM /O /Force /X /C /S and Windows 7 is now activated. The instructions in the modified bios were ph161700 /x bios.wph. I'm not sure if the placement of the switches has anything to do with the issues I had. Thanks again Busykid.

Everything that you need is in the files that were downloaded for you....I don't understand what else do you need or want.

Read the directions of how to create a Bootable USB Flash Drive and flash bios in DOS with that method.

With Sony, here is what you need to do:

Flash your bios with the NON-modified version BEFORE flashing with the modified one.

Use the utilities that are of SONY to flash bios - both the non-modified version and the modified version...

I think you will see success.
