rename the .wph you have to BIOS.wph then flash , replacing the old filename with BIOs.wph instead good Luck! 1234s282
Please create bios with SLIC 2.1 for Windows 7 -Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Samsung N510 -Bios Revision : 02MU -Bios Type : Phoenix -Bios SLIC : ? -Bios Link : N/A
Did you use any loaders, patches, cr**ks or bios emulators before you flashed your bios with the modified version the first time? How are you flashing your bios?
Hmm got a NOGO. Invalid FlashInit.bin DOS did not seem to like the long file name, I changed it but no every time the PHFlash loads up, the error message pops up. Any idea? I've booted from a USB freedos. For testing I tried to see what would happen for just loading the original bios file in PHFlash, same message. Thinking I may need to make it load with FlashAid??? thanks - jack
I have no idea....did you extract this bios from the executable file and not from your phoenix bios which is presently on your computer. Because I used the .rom file which you said was extracted from the executable fie....if it is from the executable file, then it is safe to assume the bios will flash if done correctly. If this bios file came from a backup of your phoenix bios on your computer, I can tell you right now, it will not flash at all....
Nope, it's clean. Never used any of those. Also, flashing back to modded bios 3206 works fine, SLIC is reported as 2.1. With your version I just ran the .exe file and it did everything for me (started WinPhlash, started flashing). With 1234s282's version I used the WinPhlash provided.
I extracted out from the exe, no bios dump. If I try to load the extracted rom in winphlash or phlash there is an error. If I load the same rom in flashaid it loads right up. If I try to load the patched rom in flashaid it complains about this file is corrupt or in a format that can not be used with this program. please specify the correct bios for this model... think fujitsu done something in which the normal phoenix bios flasher will not work? Any other idea?
Ok, I am confused. First, did you activate windows? Second which of the 2 bios files did you use? Was it mine or was it 1234s282?
Try this - Flash with the NON-modiifed version first After that, flash with the modified version and see if that works. There is one question I want to know: How did you extract the file from the executable? What were the steps involved?
Yep. As soon as I switch to modded BIOS 3206 Windows 7 says Genuine. Then i put modded BIOS 3208 and it's not. All 3 of them (2 done by you, 1 done by 1234), but all gave the same results.
