I have searched most of the VGN-FZxxx series and there is no bios update for this series.. I suggest you use WOW 7b which you can find by using the search engine above....it will get you activated.
Can u please xplain me the difference between the original bios mod to include slic 2.1 and using wow 7 on the other hand?? Also , what disadvantages will i face by using wow as against that by modding the bios?? please xplain in brief... Regards, Shashank
go on wow's forum and read for yourself....I have never used it but have seen many people who could not be helped here use it and succeed.... You will need to read it yourself.
Will it affect the boot time win7 takes?? Also , r there sony vaio certs and win 7 ultimate keys available already to activate my win 7 on my vaio??
The problem with the Fujitsu S6240 is the included files are a different (newer) bios version. You patched the 1.10 bios will not flash because of the crc check and phlash will error flashinit error. fjbios files assume flashaid is installed locally, probably flashaid 3.x. The exe files in the modified folder are for version 1.13, those were not modified for SLIC. To flash a fujitsu bios like this, extract out the files from the exe bios, modify that bios_data.rom with slic, do a crc edit by editing the bios_header.ini for the offset to make the crc = 0000 or patch flashaid to ignore crc check. Zip up the folder or sfx it so the user can use execute flashaid.exe directly. jack
First, you installed a loader onto a modified bios and that is a big NO NO......you are going to f**k up your computer by doing that....why does anyone do that and cannot wait for answers. You must uninstall all loaders now before we go any further.
I agree and I was very confused when he supplied a link to a bios which showed v1.10... I want a direct link to the bios file from fijitsu's website....
If he flashed the exe bios from your mod folder then he is now running bios ver 1.13 anyway. I didn't find 1.10 anywhere. Fujistu normally does not keep older bios files available for download.
I apologize for misleading you i did not install the loader i used the auto cert and key insertion from that program again i 100 percent did not install the loader I KNOW WHAT THAT IS I used the cert you provided with all the keys you provided windows did not activate i tried the auto cert and key installer you provided windows not activated i tried the auto cert and key installer from the program 7loader 1.6 but did not install the loader (soft Bios ) check out the program you will see what i am trying to say again i apologize and thank you for everything you and everyone else does here at this forum i am not trying to be ignorant or insult any Buddy's intelligents in any way nor make any Buddy angery Thank You for you quick reply
lol yeah each region controls their own files. Quite annoying at times. The first bios update I tried from the US site kept complaining it was wrong version of flashaid. That is when I found they updated the other regions differently. Had to download a different version of flashaid from Asian site to flash the fjbios file hosted on the US site. After that I go straight to the Asian site for the current files. just a heads up. If he tries to flash 1.10 now after 1.13 is installed flashaid with complain older version and error closed. Edit the bios_header.ini and change the bios version to match 113, it should say this version is currently installed are you sure you want to upgrade. It 'should' accept the 1.10 file after that. I have not tried to actually down grade a flash but changing the ini file will allow the flash to go past the initial version test. jack
Just execute the exe and leave the error prompt open. It extracts to the temp. Goto the user profile local temp. Copy the folder flashaid40.tmp. All the files you need are in there. After you copy, close the error popup.
