Having the same version should not interfere with flashing your bios....and unless I can get a .ROM or .WPH file from the executable bios file, I am not sure of what to do....I will consult some more experienced people on this forum - be patient while we wait for their answers.
It gives me the same warning even if I try to flash using the original BIOS files. May I ask how were u able to modify the BIOS if u were not able to extract the .ROM or .WPH file from the executable? Thanks for ur help, i'm waiting for their answers...
wow i never thought u could do that! one more question, u included the acer certificate 2.1 in the download, so have the certificates also changed? I thought only SLIC changed from 2.0 to 2.1 but the certificates stayed the same! Will the acer certificate i use to activate vista not work?
oh ok. where can i download all the ones u have so far from? Here's a screenshot of what's happenning in case that helps!
Then use the .WPH modified file that is in the modified bios folder in ATI Folder...rename it by removing the word SLIC and flash bios using PH161700 (Phlash17)
Windows 7 activated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But i think i'm gonna reinstall vista for now until they release the Windows 7 drivers because IrDA is not working properly as well as some of the application! Thanks a lot Busykid508, u're the best!!!!!!!!!! Can u plz fix the tutorial: Those with a BIOS < v1.07 can use the WFlash exe and those with a BIOS >= v1.07 must use Phlash16 from the bootable USB drive
