Phoenix bios SLIC mod requests (*.WPH or *.ROM files).

    Thanks you are the man! That was quick work, did you just change the bios or have you got every oem version? if you have i wouldn't say no to the sony version just to keep it "original".... or am i pushing my luck here?

    There is no SONY slic 2.1 at this time....sorry

    Rename R0052N7_SLIC.WPH to R0052N7.WPH and place in folder where the winphlash.exe file resides and right click on winphlash.exe and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and see if it will flash the bios.

    Hi i did rename the file to R0052N7.WPH but did in dos as you originally recommened.. Why is it likey to work in Win?

    I don't know but it does not hurt to try....I think too many times on this board people expect me to know every computer in the world or to streamline the thinking - I am to know everything about your computer. I don't know anything about your SONY for I never owned one.

    What you may have to do is flash the bios with a XP bios file and then upgrade to the modified bios file.

    Well actually i currently have an xp bios installed and am running XP.

    i take it i can try running winphlash.exe in XP.

    then do that....but run it with the modified bios file
