Have had a friend look at the USB aspect, that now seems to work. However we have both tried USB and Nero boot attemps and each time the Phoenix flash programme throws a "Invalid FlashInt.BIN" error.

Any ideas what that means and how to fix that? Is there something wrong with the ROM file?

    Thanks

All you have to do is open your RW Everything Report and there is an ASUS SLIC

i can't check untill tomorrow, my notebook is @my business. i always leave it there overnight.

Can't think of anything else but the Amilo li1818 having an asus mobo, but that doesn't seem very likely.

Could i perhaps perform a format of my hdd's, then do a clean install of win7 (without activating) and then make a new RWreport ? Should be sufficient imho...

If so, i'll do that tomorrow, and after that we'll talk again ...
