    Some of the Sony bios need to be back-flashed to previous version first, then upflashed to present version. This has fixed the same version problem before...

    I checked on the Sony site, and only 1 download is offered for this laptop, no old versions are there. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

    May I ask how did you flash the bios? Was it with winphlash or was it with SONY Flash Utility XP?
