    You have to format your USB drive...you cannot delete files and then put new ones on it....it won't work...so, try that please.

    No, still i get that error at boot
    "The program file's part number does not match with your system"
    even though i have reformatted my USB and extracted the files again to the USB.

    I have no answers anymore....the mod is done correctly and the new bios update is for your motherboard....maybe---Have you had any issues with the motherboard in the past?

    noo i never had issues with my motherboard. Even the installer (Installer.exe that came with the files you gave me) from HP says my system does not meet the minimum requirements. Though i havent tried running that installer in Vista compatability mode.
