Yep..you have a whitelist problem. That is not what is modded here though. I do not have time to help you with it at the moment, and wont for some time. this has to be done manually, the tool does not do it. You have a SLIC to activate Windows 7..To allow the Wifi card, you need another modification, unrelated to the SLIC. I would suggest maybe Yen, but he is also busy, I am sure.. Put a PM in my box if you do not find help soon, and I will see what I can do. We will need the ID strings among other things..I cannot elaborate now, as I have to go quickly.. Sorry...
Thank you for letting me know. I've read from other forums too that I'll need to go through like 20 steps using tools like AMIBIOS. I don't know where to get the IDs, but I do get them from the previous card owner. vendor id=1199 and product id=6856. The HP white-list IDs should be F0 03 1D 1F. I'll send both you and Yen a PM and if anyone can help me out here it will be a life saver... thanks
Yeah but you should not be seeing that SLIC in your original non modded bios. It does not match the OEM SLIC included in the non modded bios. That report you posted was from your non modded bios. If there is a problem when you have the original non modded bios installed, even the modded SLIC is going to error the same message. Either the report you first posted was not the oem original bios or I'm thinking a loader/emulator is present pushing a 2.1 SLIC. That public key is from one of the 2.1 SLICs, oem should have public key from 2.0 SLIC. If that 2.1 SLIC was checksum'd prior to load, it is not matching any Acer SLIC I have looked at. Maybe take a PE disk and run the SLIC tool to see what it detects loading off PE. If it reads good, then there is a loader/emulator installed, remove it. If it reads the same error, something is not being flashed correctly, maybe 1.21 did not revert back to 1.20... quick look, the 1.20 rom either jumps the SLIC table or after detecting SLIC string moves/separates the pubkey/msgdigsig into two memory location, call location is made then returns setting or clearing the flag. add on next time you flash use /FORCE to that cmd line you posted. ex /O /Force /X /C /S
I was not aware that I was suppose to mod a whitelist bios....sorry, but this forum is not for that - I see 911medic is dealing with you on it....I have no expertise in that field.
