    I just realized this was wrongly labeled as an Award Bios when in fact it is AMI...so, yes, you can flash with it....I am uploading the correction of this matter to the server now...sorry

    Read the directions: RENAME modified bios file 3091F27B_SLIC.WPH to bios.wph and at command prompt in DOS type: ph161700 /x /FORCE /O /C /S bios.wph <ENTER>

    Testing an aspire 3100 With the 2.1 Mod provided
    (Note i have a Turion 2,0Ghz CPU in it instead of the standard Sempron+3500)
    results will come later (installing at this moment)

    System halted some how with SLIC2.1 Aspire 3100

    Ok this is a fast reply :-(
    im booting up just fine
    inserted the Windows7 Ultimate DVD
    nicely get the "go you want to boot from dvd?"
    nicely get "windows is loading files"
    but then after that the system hangs on the "starting Windows screen"
    the animated logo of windows 7 doesnt come up,
    and the system doesnt give any signs of continu-ing with the installation

    is this a known isseu?
    i also just tested if the system would boot with the previous installed Windows-7 RC but the same thing happens there

    can some one help me out with this problem?

    I flashed the system with the provided command:
    PHLASH16 cw51313.wph /c /x /s /bbl /pn /mode=3
