Which file did you use? 12ZA_SLIC.WPH or 12ZE_SLIC.WPH Did you rename and use Winphlash or use dos with PH161700.EXE? Did you check what bios revision you had before choosing the WPH file to use?
I never told you to use the 12ZA file....I specifically told you to use the 12ZE file. Here are the written directions: flash bios in DOS using PHLASH17 (Ph161700) on bootable usb flash drive - rename modified bios file 12ZE_SLIC.WPH to 12ZE.WPH and at command prompt in DOS, type: ph161700 /x /FORCE /O /C /S 12ZE.WPH <ENTER> What I would do is call Samsung and tell them that their bios update killed your computer....they may send you a new bios chip or board....Do not tell them that you used a modified bios for then they will not help you,.
I have and always use ZE for mine, but some models may use the ZA, If mine was ZA to begin with I would make sure it would be ok to use and i wouldnt use the ZE on a motherboard that has ZA. evilernie, youve bricked it becuase you were being careless, you never deviate from the bios type you currently use. >_< busykid, wouldnt it have been fine for them to just rename the 12ZA_slic.wph to bios.wph and flash with Winphlash? thats what i did with your 12ZE_slic.wph for my ZE bios motherboard and it was fine.. too late now anyway i guess. guys If your notebook doesnt offer usb boot or fdd, be extremely cutious of what bios your flashing onto it with.
busykid508, Winrar is telling me the moddified bios file is corrupt and won't open the file past that.
How am I suppose to know what you are telling me when you give me no information other than to let me know there is a corrupt winrar file...What file...do I guess it
