    Many gateway bios are compressed and yours is compressed as well...so, I had to use the smallest slic that is available and you can activate windows with the toshiba slic without problems...it has been done a hundred times on this board....I cannot put another slic into your bios but the toshiba one for if I did it would brick your computer

    Ok i don't see a ultimate key for toshiba thats why I was asking for a different one.

    you do not need an ultimate key from toshiba....any ultimate oem slp product key whether from dell, hp, acer or lenovo will work

    I never got that to work. I have only been able to activate with ultimate with all 3 parts to the equation match (BIOS, CERT, and matching KEY) other wise it wont activate.. at least when I tried the Toshiba SLIC on my Gateway it did not activate.

    Why are you the only Gateway person who says that toshiba does not work when in fact it works perfectly?

    That was not what I meant. I would like two seperate mods. One with only Gateway's slic v2.0 and another mod with Dell's slic v2.1
