I have the same problems with the extensa 5220 bios like kulant,

neither adrpat nor Busykid508 can be flashed with phlash 1.7.0.0 using the acer suggested commands (/x /s /c /mode=3 /pn). Is there anything we can do ?

Don't go any further...if you can back out of the flash.

Flash with whatever your motherboard manufacturer recommends.

I'm trying to mod a BIOS with the Awardtool but the .wph file is 1,049kb and I get the error: 'BIOS size not valid'
Is there a way round this?

    Hi, It does not activate..

Bios is SLIC 2.1, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate change s/n and use the enlosed hp-certificate but nothing what can be wrong? This is the MSDN/Retail OS that I deleted the ei.config file so I have all the versions to choose from, do it matter? or should I have changed the ei.config file to OEM first?

    I followed the steps:
    slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\hp.xrm-ms
    slmgr.vbs -ipk ###########
    still 30 dyas it reads
if I do slmgr.vbs -ato then I get Error: Product activation failed.

Maybe I need to use a different hp certificate? suggestions?

That is natural with AWARD BIOS...ignore it and go on
