    I copied/pasted something I found on a google search. Is your notebook set in AHCI mode?

    SB600 is an AMD chipset (northbridge). SATA is controlled by the chipset. Update the AMD chipset drivers from the amd website.

    I don't think is something you can do not to run in native mode.

    I don't know how much you've been smoking, but you sure smoked s**t stuff.:)

    If someone is making a request, they are helped from start to end by the same modder. Nobody else here has ever done what you did.
    So watch the thread and modd a bios as soon as someone makes a request!

    There is neither AHCI nor IDE. That is what I have to ask you for.

    SB600 is an AMD peripheral controller ie southbridge, doesn't it?
    The driver has been installed ofcourse.

    You are right even though I will prefer to run SSD in AHCI mode unlike IDE Native mode.

    What is it stopping you? I can clearly see the AHCI mode as selectable.
    I guess you'll have to reinstall your OS afterward.
