    There is something that you are doing wrong because that bios has already been modified and tested and it works.

    Reboot after performing the commands.

    The .cfg file has nothing to do with this.

    Hi, I actually believe that the bios mod is correct just :p wondering what other 'item' is causing the problem...:cool:

    This machine has 2 partitions, one is Windows 2008 and the other used to have windows 7 RC (activated) - I formatted this partition while installing to install the new windows 7-, could be this the problem? should I kill everything/ delete partitions and re-install?

    I did, thanks :D. Just trying to avoid to re-install everything on Win 2k8 partition if possible..

    i cant flash right now, i wanna save all my data firts.


    but i can tell u, i tried with other wph, and i got a freeze on the first step,

    on identifying BIOS file..... just in there i got a freeze, and i had to reboot.


    ill try with this one. keep tryin you and dr widley. ill post later


    and i wanna creat ther crisis disk just in case.

    Slic 2.1 bios mod mitac 8227dmp

    Please create BIOS SLIC 2.1 for windows 7
    I built my laptop using a MITAC 8227DMP barebones and I think the details you require are:

    -Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Intel Crestline & ICH8M Chipset
    -Bios Manufacturer: Phoenix Technologies LTD
    SMBIOSBIOSVersion: R2.01
    SMBIOSMajorVersion: 2.4
    CurrentLanguage:
    ReleaseDate: 09/01/2008
