Do i need moded bios? hi Kukubao, i have HP Pavilion dv6-1127ee notebook with slic2.1, with windows vista as oem os can i upgrade it to win7 and validate without moded bios, with slmrg comands.. it just requires the certificate and slp which can be entered with slmg.. correct me if i'm wrong... thanks
your right. you only need to enter slmgr -ipk <product key> and slmgr -ilc HP.xrm-ms (Search the forum for HP license file and OEM SLP keys) ...and it's kukubau not kukubao
thanks thanks kukubau, sorry for spelling mistake.. i have other problem also hope u can help in that also.. i had another hp pavalion dv2401tu laptop with dead bios, after getting its bios replaced i was surprised to see it was showing as compaq v3000 machine.. but it was working can we flash it again to work and show as 2401tu machine and activate win 7 on it? thanks in advance.. by the way happy new year to u..
