Out of curiousity, does this bios mod also allow for more then 2gb of ram as well? I know the slic mod that I had done on my VAIO Z boosted the max to 8gb.

Ok as you requested I have reflashed with original download for HP this morning removed all loaders (agian) also decide to play devils advacate and deleted all partitions and reformated HDD and reinstalled windows. Should be golden now REQUEST REMOVED I FIGURED OUT IT I THINK I WAS SELECTING WRONG FILE. NOW ACTIVAED AND DOWNLOADING UPDATES. Thank you thank thank a thousand times thank you. hey Oowner I searched the forums for you and found a link saying you may already have slic 2.1 did you verify that first? Its easy with Slic dump, see very first post it tells you how to do it. I also see that you do not have RW everything report the modders are gonna want that it is needed to mod your Bios. I think you like to download the BIOS may be bad came up 404 for me. I am NOT a modder I have tried mine and I can't get it to work but i have read about 30% of the topic. I know for sure you gonna need the above mentioned stuff
Thanks again imatrix, I think I have done a Bootable USB Flash Drive by your instructions, and now on the road to the usb flash for Crisis Pendrive Recovery, question 1. I do not understand where this " original bios " you mentioned should be found, and question 2. according to the instructions given by "Pen_Drive_Recovery" at procedure no. 3.)Remove your stick and reconect, copy in the stick the "MINIDOS.SYS"-"PHLASH16.EXE"so copy these two files only to usbstick, am I right?
