    Well the utility it came with (in DOS) gives an error that it's the wrong BIOS (even though the numbers match up), and opening the tool in Windows gives a CRC checksum error.

    I plan on using AwardFlash if it'll work, but I just wanted to double check with somebody on here that I haven't got a corrupted binary file or something so I don't end up bricking the computer.

    So, is this checksum error normal/to be expected or did something get corrupted?

    when you bought your laptop, did it come with any OS?
    are you using any loader?

    It came with XP Home pre-loaded.

    This is what it reads after I have flashed the bios wth the mod in your previous post, installed Dell OEM cert and Windows 7 Ultimate OEM licennce.
