    You cannot flash a phoenix dump..sorry. It is best to find the correct upgrade..

    I know, but I cannot find any BIOS for this Laptop except from Gatway which I believe isn't correct.

    It doesnt do any good to mod a bios you cannot flash...More research may be needed, or contact the Gateway techs for assistance.

    So you cannot flash that dumped BIOS because it will brick laptop or because flash utility won't accept it, or because it is ROM format instead wh?
    Believe me, I did try to find any useful info. Looks like that Model M-7000 series nobody has it.

    when you dump a phoenix bios, it omits the platform data which required when flashing. so ROM format is wrong, hence utility or system wont accept it.

    There is actually no platform data to omit. this is not flashed to the EEPROM.. only the BIOS file is flashed. When you backup a phoenix bios, there is no platform data present to reflash.

    WPH or ROM are both proper formats, you just cant flash them without the platform data "tail"..

    I used PowerISO to extract the boot image from the Sager's iso. If you don't have PowerISO the demo will work, the option you need is in the menu under Action > Boot > Edit Boot Image File...

    Then I just extracted all the files to a folder.
