This bios has been tested and proven to work....I am not sure of what to tell you since I do not know your computer.... Are flashing the bios correctly. If you're using DOS bootable floppy (w/o himen.sys) created in Windows, you will get an error like "can't present memory manager" while you update the BIOS (ie himen.sys) You may do either one of the two ways to resolve: 1. press F5 to bypass himem.sys 2. modify the parameter from /S to /X
the exact message error phoenix phlash16 error could not find bcp dmi block in your bios file rom image phoenix bios no want update bios i type command phlash16 jm70105.wph /x /s /c /mode=3 i tried phlash16 jm70105.wph /s /x /c /mode=3 not work
Use Winflash that is in your folder. Rename the Modified Bios File to JM70105.WPH and flash from windows using Winflash.
I would say the latter, but it is up to you and how attached you are to your lappy. Sony SLIC would be better if they come available..IMHO
I know a lot of people love the DUMP Tool that is being floated around here but when you use it to show someone the problem, most of the time you cannot read anything in it because of its background....the background is DARK and the lettering is light green or some other light color. So, that little device did not tell me a thing since I cannot read it....and I have a very strong Video Card.
I guess the part that matters from the tool's dump is the RSDT: FSC PC (whereas it should be FUJ PC, I think), hence RSDT != PubKey Otherwise, the tool reports that the Checksum is OK and that the Slic is V2.1 If you need any other information, please let me know. Cheers.
