    yes i tried with an 8GB thumbdrive and the HP tool said it wasn't compatible with FAT

    so I am now trying sn SD card in a card reader... the HP tool was able to create the 'floppy' but I don't see the activity light on the card reader lighting up after doing the key combo + pluggnng in power; still going to let it sit for 10 minutes in case something is being done in the background
