That is the error I got when I did the mod, nonetheless to say, it fried my motherboard. 48h later and i'm back up and running, but I think I may have to make do with the A10 BIOS until somebody finally figures out what went wrong!.
how did you recovered your bios from the brick? did you get Dell to replace a new board for ya? or just follow the bios recovery procedure in the forum.
Yes, i succesfully recovered bios yesterday with USB Flash. So i`ll wait for the next try of other mod Thanks.
Well, to 'brick' is putting it in the right context because after the BIOS flash, I had turned my 1730 into basically.......a brick!!! It weighs as much as one, and was just as useless! - The laptop would not stay powered on after the flash. Lol - somebody from Dell is probably watching this!...........but yes, I got a new board fitted with a vanilla A11 BIOS installed as standard - runs much cooler with this BIOS, but sadly my 7 now needs activating Here's hopeing that someone else out there has succeeded where I failed. BUT I will wait for the results of the flash this time! (in other words some other guinea pig can try it lol)
