    You can compare the original bioses for both models - they are identical.

    Dear members,

    I own a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ11E (older model) and I want to update it to Windows 7.
    The problem is, it has a slic 2.0 and not a slic 2.1 (which I need ofcourse) and I can't find a bios file anywhere on the internet.
    Is there any way to mod my bios?

    i apologizes, it it seems to be a phoenix bios, I must check before saying more stupid things.
    once done i will gives you more instructions for recovery
    regards

    edit: some (rare) bios are containing SLIC 2.1 and SLIC 2.0 tables, and depending of the OS supplied (win7 or vista) the manufacturer choose the appropriate table, that can be hacked. But for the moment the important thing is to recover the bios.
