Thanks! No loader to uninstall. When I run the Slic toolkit, it still says invalidated, but now it names the QA09. When attempting to activate, it says that the key is not valid for activation. Key used is the Dell one from the list on this site: 32KD2, K9CTF, M3DJT.4J3WC.733WD Any thoughts? Thanks,

Touchsmart iq820sc slic 2.1 bios flash ? Yep i got the rar file "Bootable_1.44M" but inside it is no ".rom" files or anything ? How do i use this ? Tried with the Ami mod tool and award mod tool but cant open with those ? The HP original BIOS file is in ".iso" format also.. So basically i dont have any clue how to use these files The rar file has --> AFU.exe AUTOEXEC.bat COMMAND.COM config.sys FDXXMS.sys KERNEL.sys MAU5.07 XMSDSK.exe I am using windows 7 ultimate 64bit, so no floppy drives here.. When i restart, at the boot diagnostic screen it says AMI (American Megatrends inc) BIOS 2009 5.07 so the AMI bios is correct at least..
Open the autoexec.bat file with notepad... what is inside it?? Well, can u post the link of the thread from where u found the rar??
Ok thanks. Now formatting the usb drive... ... ... Then (i think) i just place the files inside (Bootable_1.44M.rar) to the usb drive and restart ? There is AFU.exe in the rar file and i presume that its the Flash utility. Still not sure will the bios file work (and wich it is..) because no rom or bin files inside the (bootable_1.44M.rar) I'll report back later, if my pc boots God the formatting is taking forever... for a 3gb drive... did not check the "fast format" option, because the guide had it unchecked also...
