Oh yes, just had to gut it down to its motherboard, buy a usb floppy, search through the loft for a floppy disk (did find an old bbc model b computer with a 5 1/4 inch floppy - memories) and use the bios crisis shorting pins on the motherboard to get it reflash with the correct bios. serves me right for getting too cocky with the previous bios. I was sure i had all ready flashed it with the 02mf bios but that is for a different version although the download site shows both. So I'm now back up and running with the 03me version again.

Diary of a not too bright bios flasher

    The current position is :-
Though I hadflashed the bios with original version 02mf obviousy I hadnt, then flashed it with modified 02MF. Bricked it,

used crisis bios recover disk reflashed it with unmodified version 03ME

then tried flashing with Samsung_Q1U-A000-Samsung-03ME-DELL_SLIC21_DELL_SLP.rar bricked it once again!!

not even going to attempt to put the case back together yet reshort the crisis pins on the motherboard and now reflashed once again with an unmodified 03ME bios.

Current condition working on an unmodified 03ME

Woo Hoo new flash and I didnt brick it, currently reinstalling software all work fine. Once again thanks for everybodies help. I can now get around to screwing the q1 back together again and hopefully never need a recovery bios disk again

    Cheers
