Thanks for your quick response but neither of those above posts even mention anything about a Fujitsu Lifebook A series mod and the link from the first post is dead.

    Still looking for help.

    Thanks

OK, NOW I get it ! Rather than throwing me a fish, you are teaching me to fish for myself.

And it worked !!! Thanks :)

I went ahead and performed a (default) dynamic mod on the stock 1.13 Fujitsu Lifebook A6010/6020 BIOS and flashed it from WinXP using a hex-edited FlashAid.exe. As per the excellent instructions of post #17633, both the stock BIOS and FlashAid utility were extracted from the self extracting BIOS upgrade provided on Fujitsu's site. FlashAid.exe was hex edited and then flashed the SLIC modded BIOS just fine.

I used PhoenixTool v1.85 as v1.90 gave me an initialization error on startup. It kept running but I didn't like the look of that so I just went with the older version which started cleanly.

SLIC_ToolKit_V3.2 now shows a v2.1 SLIC so all seems well.

Now, I can't load the 64 bit version of Win7 that I have since this laptop has a T2250 so I'm not able to test activation yet but once a find a 32 bit OEM version of 7 (assuming that there is one out there), I'll be back to report on that.

Either way, this was very cool ... thanks again

    :))
