nice tool, very handy. that force update check or rather internet connection on startup is a no-no for me ! any chance on posting the source ?
The application does not force you to be online to run it though. Also, it will only check for updates if its ran as admin. And about the source, we will see... i normally don't post the src code of my apps and this app is rather simple anyway. It just reads the pkeyConfigData value of the *.xrm-ms file, then decodes it (its base64 encoded) and loads the result as a XML File in the ListView.
Fixed a bug with the Start/End values sometimes not matching the PartNumbers. To download the version 1.1.0.1 click in the 'Check for Updates' button or Download it from the first post. I just don't like when people download the code, edit the author(s) of the application and then release it as their work. If you're not going to do that I can PM you the code to read the values from *.xrm-ms files tomorrow (It's in VB.Net btw)
Works very cleanly. Advise you add detection for xrm-ms files that do not correlate with product keys though. Needs a bit of work but otherwise pretty good.
Nice tool! I was working on the same tool just few days earlier It would be really great to see it Open Source Thanks again, very useful!
Hi ASV93. If start PKeyConfigReader and navigate to "about" --> "check for updates" it give me an error "The process cannot acces the file "path_to_updatechannels.xml" also, when update, it will download 1.1.0.0 version. I have to mention, updatechannels.xml is in the root directory.
