How you did it? With symbolic link?

Try this method. Create a folder on your hdd and name it "My symbolic links folders". Copy SoftwareDistribution folder from your ssd into it. Now you need to delete original SoftwareDistribution folder.
Open Command prompt and type: mklink /d "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" "D:\My symbolic links folders\SoftwareDistribution" and hit Enter.
The copying of full original folder is not really needed, you just can create a new empty SoftwareDistribution folder but it is important do delete original one before making a symbolic link.
