If a country plans to ban a software, we must think how bad the software respects the privacy.

MS EULA didn't say they will scan your HDD or keeping key strokes and if they indeed doing this they've broke their own EULA and you can sue them like I say in previous post.

I think most today allegation about MS privacy concern are baseless ... or someone here can or already prove it

On what base you're saying the privacy concerns discussed here are baseless?

I'd suggest you read the Privacy Statement https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement/default.aspx

You can also Google about the problems in that statement. They reserve the right to see/do alot of things on your computer.

And M$ had started scratching head already when they came to know Windows 10 install ratio is coming down.

Might I add my little bit.
This issue with Microsoft is not just about privacy, it's about respect. They have none for their users based on their modus operandi, so I have none for them!
Shoving all the Windows 10 spying crap to 7 and 8 pretty much signaled their intentions, and their refusal to now specify exactly what an update contains is just the icing on the cake. Where there is smoke there is a fire !

This guy sounds a lot like some paid MS shill writing from India. Not that I even tried reading through that grammar mess.

    Opt out?...
Lol, Microsoft would have to scrap the complete Windows 10 because it's core design is a hard coded data mining machine.
    :laie:

Windows 10 offers NOTHING more than some frilly outer fluff to dress it up...

@eko_p: This discussion is not baseless at all. As a matter of fact, it is one of the hottest topics on the internet today. When I started this thread, I was ridiculed and downright insulted by members here.
And in 20 days, it picked up so much momentum that it's unstoppable. The word spread all over the world. Now, everybody knows, and countries are actually taking legal actions against Microsoft.
And some are actually banning this pitiful excuse for an OS. This is the only thing that will stop Microsoft and companies like them. Hit them in the purse.

They need to know that We want the freedom to opt out of their data collecting campaigns.

Stay out of My pockets, stay out of my Personal life.

If I want you there, I'll invite you

It's looking like MS will have to have to backtrack on Windows 10 as it appears to already be another flop. How can it be a true success when even grandma knows it spies, the press is giving it mostly all bad reviews over spying concerns, and MDL is going crazy with info on the technical bits about how Windows 10 spies on the user? Also, the desktop is falling out of favor and MS only has 2%~ of the mobile phone market share. Does that put MS in a good spot like when Windows 95 came out? Hell no it doesn't. Why do you think MS laid off thousands of workers, and more are probably coming? It's because they've grown too big and can't pay everyone at the rate of failures they've been having the last few years. Nokia, anyone? Elop was a genius. He made shareholders a ton of money.

Microsoft thought they could get away with surreptitiously usurping your privacy and freedom through deceptive means and vague terminology in their "ingenious" privacy policy. Nutella's teleprompter was feeding him erroneous info when it told him to say that Windows 10 is going to be on a billion devices in 1 year. Windows is a dying turd, and it's obvious that nothing is going to breath new life into the platform. Why the hell would anybody want to pay for ads to not be in solitaire when Windows 7 has solitare without any ads? That is probably about the most idiotic business idea I have ever heard of. It's like having a choice between two cars, both being the same price. Except the one that is worse is more expensive. Then you have some ignorant consumer come along who says, "You know, I really want the dented up vehicle with scratches and dents on it, with the shredded up front tire...I love a great deal". If you thought Microsoft was about to eat some humble pie after the 8.x failure, think again. All they did was ramp up the spying efforts, deceptively send patches to Windows 7 machines that spy on the user, and do some GUI fixes that still don't make Windows 10 as good as Windows 7 from a usability standpoint. Seriously. What an idiotic company. It's too late for Microsoft. There is no 1,000 chances. The takeaway from the information in this entire thread, is do not use Windows 10 (unless for testing/support purposes) and tell everybody you know not to use it. That way, the cancer goes away. If people accept the cancer, then it spreads and more spying will be rammed down the users' throats. We are who decides whether or not Microsoft's software succeeds, not Microsoft.

IMHO, His second statement is by -no- means a retraction: I think that He spoke from a position of anger and just wanted to point that out. :)

The more I read his post, the more I respect Him for speaking is mind.

He made reference to SEH in his statement. For those who are not programmers, SEH is an acronym for Structured Exception Handling.

For those who wish to know, You can read about it here

    http://www.gamedev.net/page/resourc...ng/structured-exception-handling-basics-r1272

I will say that, to the uninitiated, low level OS code -always - looks ugly. IMHO, it's just the nature of the beast.

Those who have written code for ring 0 or have built real-time control / data acquisition systems understand this.

It's ugly. Sometimes the source code becomes an almost unmanageable rats-nest, but it works. :)

We need more leaks from Microsoft employees to tell the truth about what is really going on in the company. Unfortunately, it seems like the morality level over there is quite low so the leaks are few and far between. However, the one I just posted I think is pretty juicy and sheds a lot of light on why Windows is in the place it's in, all coming from a Windows developer.

@pirithous: It's possible that employees are worried about reprisals against whistleblowers. I'm sure that warnings were issued. And since the government / Law Enforcement is involved, they don't want to end up in jail.

It was a good one though.

In Germany neither dentist nor other doc would use that software until it is kind of waterproof. At best they run 7 or custom stuff in hospitals for max-security

Oh silly me, I forgot for but a second...what could Washington and the mainstream media possibly have in common with Microsoft?
