@gamazet: The word "sheeple" is a mildly derogatory word, IMHO. It's meant to describe people who are easily led by the media and government. The fact that You are here at MDL is proof that you re -NOT- a sheeple. People here tend to research. They're not afraid to learn, or to roll up their sleeves and dig into a problem. And since You are here, I assume that you are curious about the Microsoft Privacy Agreement, and it's ramifications. Even if you feel that You will not be affected by these issues, please read as many of the posts as possible. Take a look at the contents of the links. Watch the William Binney Whistle Blower video. He was a former NSA employee for almost 30 years. His revelations are frightening. And who knows what's next. :MJ
Further discussion will lead me to comment far more than it would be allowed. So I would rather bite my tongue.
Sheeple? I don't know about that, to me its more to do with apathy. Apathy: lack of interest, lack of concern, lack of emotion or motivation. I don't know if anyone is aware of the Cycle of Nations. Its a very interesting concept. Personally I believe we are at Apathy in the cycle. Most people seem to just don't know, and just don't care. Which I find frightening. I find it frightening because the next phase of the cycle is dependency, which ultimately leads to bondage, or control. You can see it all around, the changes happening that are leading people to be complaisant and big business/government playing a larger roll in peoples lives. Seeing as this topic has focused somewhat of America as a nation, it doesn't take much to see this cycle in play throughout its rich and unique history. America's founding (like it or not) was very much based upon spiritual foundations. These foundations gave the early American people the courage to stand up for themselves. This ultimately lead to America gaining its liberty, which ultimately lead to its unequalled abundance, like the world has never seen. Unfortunately the continuation of the cycle from abundance onwards is a downward slope from there. I'm only using America as an example, and I mean no offence to anyone from America. Edmund Spencer 1552
I like the concept, but I think that it goes back further than you describe, because the cycle can be traced back to bondage from the European oligarchs and back and back through to the beginning of time, or at least the beginning of civilization.
Spot on Skaendo! Yes I could have gone back further, much much further, its amazing how even ancient cultures have followed this cycle, but I didn't want to turn a quick reply into some kind of boring lecture
I found a video where a Microsoft employee actually speaks the truth about the privacy problems surrounding Windows 10. I'll admit, this guy has some guts for speaking out about the truth of the darker side of Windows 10:
nowhere in that video does he say anything about being a Microsoft employee. He's just another guy with a YouTube channel spouting off FUD he's read on the internet. his videos include Top 5 Reasons Not to Use Windows 10 Top 5 Reasons to Use Windows 10 Top 5 Reasons Not to Use Linux Top 5 Reasons to Use Linux
So you took the time to look up his other videos, but didn't hear him say that he works for Microsoft in the one I posted?
@pirithous: In defense of timster , His post did force Me to sit through the entire video to disprove His statement. And yes. I do admire His videos. Showing both sides of an issue is the first step in finding the truth (as it best suits You and Your needs)
that brother at best had worked for MS years back, don't let you fool upon these clowns who pretend to be the "Guys"
I watched it twice and it didn't convince me upon his MS employment. MOSAD would have shot him a minute later if he were a valuable guy though. This is a video guy like many on the tube and I'm positive that he gets shut down very fast ... my 2 cents
I've watched the vid and to be honest his excuses not to use 10 are pretty lame. Drivers? He (allegedly) works for MS, surely someone could help him out here. Can't use another browser, cmon, really! Can't turn off one drive (he can't even get the name right, smartdrive, good grief) The other 2 seem to merge into one, (but he doesn't use torrents so he's O.K.)
