Oh and I thought it's "only me", i'm going crazy....I upgraded first from win 8.1 via windows update and the upgraded win 10 was activated but then I wanted to make a clean install via Microsoft tool and I am getting the same error. I hope this is a temporary stuff and I don't have to install win 8.1 again and upgrade and all that stuff At activation it says: Connect to the internet to activate windows but when I hit activate it says: "Windows can't activate, try again later"
you must upgrade first in order to activate your key for w10. Then u can do a clean installation mate
thanks for the heads up mate so when the servers are cool it will activate itself then I can start a clean install hopefully
thats what 'Im trying to get but I guess servers are too busy to respond so I'm stuck with the upgrade for a while
just hit the Activate as mad!.... maybe change region... I HIT the button for ~100 times and now it activated!
lol i do have a problem... i did a upgrade sucessfully it was activated...clean installed after and says key blocked...
I had this issue several weeks ago when I first installed W10 build 10240 when it was first available after a while eventually it did get past the try later windows cant activate screen and did activate ok so I suspect server issues here regards
I had no faith but after your message, I hit it like 20 times and now it's activated time for a clean install
NICE ONE: Win 10 addicteds/crazies DDOSing MS Activation Servers . MS we're really sorry for causing this mess . MDL is definitely guilty here, no question.
OK, just upgraded using the media tool but now I can't activate. It didn't ask me for a key so I guess it toke my one from Win8.1 (Dreamspark). It says my actual key ends in 3V66T when obviously that's not my key. Is this normal? If it is then should I wait for the microsoft servers to be active again?
Maybe they did that and got what they deserve? But I didn't. I know exactly what I did (and even recorded it). I can't pretend that nothing happened.
