This is what I have. Appears to be ISO2. Sorry was running late and didn't get back here till now. Code: File: HRM_CSLA_X64FREO_RU-RU_DV5.ISO CRC-32: ae124ec0 MD4: e31975ab2c864f1c52e4129e57ffc605 MD5: 2f3ec4ea9f604df608ac0b1ee4c53cf1 SHA-1: ac62635cbaf963afc6d76f272172c108388006f2
simply removed the ei.cfg then save you iso... when you install you have a choice, chose and it will install with a default KEY. you need no key to install, and both editions are on the same ISO.. both Std and Pro.
Sounds like you´re confusing something here. Removing the ei.cfg did the trick for Windows 7 ISO. For Win 8 you´ll have to apply the ei.cfg to the ISO, as here is no such file by default.
More questions... Guys, following this thread and trying to learn something here... Read through the other threads too but now I'm confused ..couple of questions: If I understand correct, these particular ISO's ARE Core (SingleLanguage) versions only? ...Normally these versions come pre-installed on Note-/Netbooks but you are able to buy them legally in serveral countries, eg. Russia and China? (Key?) - There are different versions according to BTOR's post floating around the Net. (according the hashes but all Russian?) Btw; What purpose serves BTOR's delta? .ISO1 to .ISO2?
@ Bytebuster, delta files are used to convert one ISO file to another to save you having to download other full ISO file.
@urie - thanks mate, I know what delta files are about ...seems I did not read that well or I'm missing something here, I mean what's the exact difference between .iso1 and .iso2 and why would you convert .iso1 to .iso2 (except for not having to dl the full .iso). As I recall in the other threads covering Core SingleLanguage only the Russian .iso1 was mentioned (frankenbuild).
ISO 1 : Got it from torrent,we dont know the source. ISO 2 : Got it from Russian forum with all details. And for frankenbuild, is only when you convert a normal core image to CoreSinglelanguage image.not when you change the language of any of the above iso. The need for delta to convert ISO 1 to ISO 2 is just for collection purpose. you can use any of the iso.
Thanks for the explanation BTOR, appreciate it! Did not know there were 2 Russian CoreSinglelanguage images out there, turns out I have ISO 2, (the one that is all over the place).
...confused. . ..as mentioned in earlier post I have this .ISO 2. I removed the Russian- imported Dutch- language. Used "nl_windows_8_x64_dvd_915410" to complete. Preserved timestamps and re-build the .iso in UDF 1.02 format. When I installed my new 'Dutch' Windows 8 CoreSingleLanguage the process went flawless. As I'm used to en-US installs I almost missed that the fact that the EULA was presented to me in the English- instead of Dutch language... It states: MICRSOFT PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS. - ...and further, under b. Term. - The Term of this agreement will expire on 01/15/2013 ("the experation date"). The EULA is signed: EULAID: Win_RC3_SL_V_en-us
oh... forgot to mention; Except for the EULA everything is in Dutch; - OS activation via KMS (30 days is this correct? Could someone confirm)
Thanks for the conformation Carlos; appreciate it. Ok... I don't get the EULA part, really weird - As statet I removed the Russian- and imported the Dutch language. - Any idea's on that? /edit/ I wonder.... Looks like this EULA comes from a Developer, Consumer- or Release preview build of Windows 8. They were set to expire on January 15, 2013. My guess is this particular Russian iso (.ISO 2) is one of those... As I don't understand the Russian language I never installed the original.
It's the same with en-US. Since a Core Volume License EULA doesn't officially exist, they didn't bother to update it from Prerelease.
...bare with me for a sec. Carlos - if I understand you correct; - Install. the original Russian Windows 8 CoreSingleLanguage and activating VL would have presented the same (outdated) English EULA. - Removing the Russian- and import. (any) other language doesn't change that fact. Regardless, the same English (outdated) EULA still would be presented simply because Windows 8 Core 'Volume License' officially doesn't exist. ...so, if I would activate using a legit (CoreSingleLanguage) 'Retail' key a correct (language specific) EULA WOULD be presented?
