OFFON7544, Thanks for replying. What is this WOW PROJECT I see mentioned in these messages? Thanks, *BH*
Sorry for the no reply, I was busy trying to get ACPIScope installed, then suddenly it hit me, I had an extra hard drive that I was no longer using and installed the 32-bit version of Vista on that. I was able to successfully install ACPIScope and run it. The file is in ats format, hope this is what you meant by hex dump. I did see hex values, so I assume it is. As for Post #228 please disregard it. It is showing exactly as shown in Vista without the XSDT. @911medic I am sorry, that I some how overlooked your reply, it appeared that I had it installed, and needed to run the VOATKToolsV.2.5 a few times in Vista and in XP, as well as reboot a few time, to completely remove the loader. Edit: forgot to attach the dump
The mod does not work, but I thank you for your effort. As shown in Everest: [ RSDT: Root System Description Table ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature RSDT Table Description Root System Description Table Memory Address AFF01AF4h Table Length 76 bytes OEM ID _ASUS_ OEM Table ID Notebook Creator ID LTP [ SLEC: Unknown ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature SLEC Table Description Unknown Memory Address AFF08DA7h Table Length 374 bytes OEM ID ÉÉÉÉÉÉ OEM Table ID ÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ Creator ID SUSA [ XSDT: Extended System Description Table (Emulated) ] ACPI Table Properties: ACPI Signature XSDT Table Description Extended System Description Table Memory Address Emulated Table Length 116 bytes OEM ID ÉÉÉÉÉÉ OEM Table ID ÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ Creator ID LTP It looks like the RSDT is working though, but Vista will not activate, due to the other two entries. It seems that the SLEC appeared in Everest, and I don't know if that is even supposed to appear.
Sure, no problem. Sorry for zipping it up, but I had to due to the size restriction on this forum and file type.
Still the same as before. I really can't downgrade on the BIOS because of newer CPU support in the later version BIOS. If you cannot unlock the BIOS or successfully mod the BIOS, then do not worry about it, I can stick with the Vista Loader for the time being. I thank you for all of your efforts, I appreciate it. Also is there a way to unlock the BIOS using a utility of some sort?
