Nope no watermark remover. Icons actually dissapear even in the program directory not just "All Programs". If theres an icon file it can be restored but if it doesn't have one then thats when I run into the problems.
Here's my issue: I have Windows Explorer on the task bar. Right-clicking it, you can see the list of Frequently used folders. Sometimes I remove some of them, but there are three of them, I can't remove. (I'm not talking about the "pinned" ones) May be the list got screwed up, but I couldn't find that list on the registry, or the disk. I don't know where it's stored. Same behavior happened with Notepad, and its "frequent" list.
I want to extend my desktop, not show it on either one of them. That's where the problem with the identity shows itself. Because when I select either of "display on 1/2" it's just a cosmetic issue that my monitor is called "projector". But when I want to extend my desktop it creates the mentioned problem that some apps start on the "main" monitor which in that case is my HDTV (which isn't always on, ofc). And I can't find a way to tell Windows that it is really mistaken, because the Bios always shows on the main screen only! And that's my monitor, on the right DVI-Port, which is mistaken by Windows as the "second" monitor/projector. I've added a screenshot
Try rightclicking the screen (see attachment, the one with the arrow). If u see an option "primary" select that. That should switch it to primary display.
Windows explorer constantly crashes so I reverted my beta win 7 7100 build to vista x64. Purchased Win 7 Ultimate 7600 x64 - fresh install last night - still crashes over and over again. No fixes so far have worked. Why and how could this problem still continue in final build?
I had this problem 1 time on my laptop (Drivers i think), did a fresh install and the problem whas gone. But i see you already did that and didnt work. Maybe some driver conflicts ?
In 3-4 months that I'm using Windows 7, I never had any issues with something ... everything till now is perfect for me ...
Not many ppl have serious issues in Win7. Compared to Xp when it came out, there are a bit less actually. Compared to Vista...well...let's not go there, cause I'll be sick Didn't run into any issues yet myself (there was one where i couldn't share a printer unless winFW was enabled. Once it was shared i could disable it again, no prob. So i would call that an issue at all) Until now, Win7 runs like a Viper and sleeps like a baby Going x64 very soon, and I hope this trend continues for me...
use ultramon it works a lot better than the windows one. Also I think you can use shortcut keys to move stuff between monitors. No issues with 7 or Server 2008 R2 here.
The only problem that I and several others have encountered is upgrading to Win 7 from Vista. We were getting the infamous 62% hang and reboot issue. Success after uninstalling: Kaspersky Adobe Apple Related Quicktime Unlocker Smac Speedfan Logitech Disabled Diskeeper in services. The upgrade was finally a success after 10 failures. Not exactly sure what program was causing the hang but hopefully this will save others many hours. BTW, clean installs are great, but we did not want to have to worry about drivers for the notebooks.
