Yeah, I use the Asus NOS one click overclock feature only when gaming. Click a button to turn it on and click a button to turn it off. I jump about 10 degrees celcius though and only use it with a laptop cooler.
i'm waiting for a NH-12P SEor Hydro H 50, my Q 9550 at 3.5 ghz, aircooling gladiator max with NF P12, voltage cpu 1.34 , vid 1.30 - rev E0
building a new rig now but i have a e8500 @ 4.3 on a megahalems on a dfi mobo, a 930 @ 4.1 on megahalems air on a evga mobo both 24/7, and just bought one of the new unlocked chips... but my speeds depend what im messing with... depends if i break out the dice, or ln2 etc.....i go through chips and boards all the time not because they die just because i get board lol..
I probably get a E8500 tomorrow, my Q6600 is so boring (most applications i use only support 2 cores), im going for the max clock on the e8500 around 4.3ghz maby 4.4ghz, the highest Vcore i go will be 1.4v-1.4?Vcore My old E8500 only did 4.25Ghz (hope the new chip is a bit better)
High clock speed is nice but who wins in direct comparison? Let's say Firefox 3.6.3 and Win XP (or any other OS). My overall score is 213 (test series ID 12) on speed-battle.com
I wish i could get my Q6600 to 3.5ghz . Anything past 3.0ghz and my machine wont boot. Ive tried all sorts.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz processor is stock size not 3.2 GHz I can't overclock Dell inspiron 530 bios restrictions.
