Yes you're right. Uninstall O&O and dont even let it run at startup or waste your resources. And with Perfect Disk boot time defrag, it'll restart to defrag the locked files. After that....reboot again....and check your boot time.... I got 49 seconds on my BALANCED performance plan
Not exactly relevant to this thread, but I can uninstall O&O but I have no confidence at all in windows 7 inbuilt uninstall. Will Revo Uninstaller Pro's advanced uninstall mode be as good as image backup. I have been using image backup restore simply because when I uninstall a program, I like to have all traces of its installation removed from my PC.
Wow... It may be more than two minutes in my case. The shutdown process takes more time than the startup process though, because some optimisations are done during shutdown.
My Time Here its mine... My Specs: 2GB RAM Only 1.78 Available (don't know why) Processor-AMD Semprom 2.1 Ghz Wiindows 7 Ultimate RTM 7600 x86 Activated with Installation of OEM Cert and OEM SLP Ultimate KEY only, no mods no loader
First time 91 seconds, but computer ran for days. Second time 57 seconds and with four security applications starting up. Nice app.
heres my restart time 44secs pretty good considering following config amd athlon x2 5600+ 2gb kingston ram @800mhz xfx 8600 gt win7 64bit 2x250gb segate hdds mind you its a tweaked system
of course i dont mind well nothing out of the ordinary >min. startup items (only avira, comodo, rainmeter & obj dock) edited with sis internals autoruns >registry tweaked by registry mechanic >defrag by auslogic >tweaked diff sevices according to blackviper.com, i have about 38 services running eating 28% of my ram >using ultimate windows tweaker >uninstalled useless win7 components and thats pretty much it hope that is of some help >
I have about 30 services running on startup and 25% RAM usage. Also similar tweaks as above and similar restart time.
