Had to revisit this thread after rebuilding my systems and finally finding a bios that recognized my video card in less than 20 seconds. First system, Phenom ii 945, 4g ram 54 seconds Old system, Athlon 2 4 core 3ghz with the updated bios went from 84 to 64, still slow but a full 20 seconds faster.
No, the bios had issues recognizing some video cards, I am using a beta bios now. No need for me to mod it, I have a legit license for it. I did have a moded bios, I blamed the mod for the delayed boot but it turns out it just took Gigabyte 3.5 years to release a stable beta bios that recognized the card properly.
I have a screen cap but I cant upload it here because of my post count. No real tweaks for a fast boot, its how I always run it, the only things I have done is use msconfig to change boot up to use both cpu cores and limit loading to win 7 and anti-virus, Aero is running.
