Well, our PC specs are very similar, but I don't have hardly any startup items, my HDD (WD 640gb black) is fast, I've tweaked my install for performance, etc. I think I could get it to run faster if it were fresh, but this install is kinda getting old And I use prairie-dogs; they are often overlooked but are actually a lot faster than hamsters...
Where the heck did hamsters and dogs come from???.... Nvm but (hahaha) yea I have 2 Western Digital 500GB black editions and can't get it under a minute wats up??? O yea there are only 2 start up programs cause its a brand new build... it keeps getting slowed down by the raid detecting the drive...
I have a core i7 920 and 5gb ddr3 but do not think I would be achieving 30-40 secs that seem to be the fastest here. More like >1 min. What services can be safely shut down on restart. I am not talking about the obvious ones (from google, apple, adobe, etc) but more from MS. Someone called blackviper had an automated program for XP. Is it there for win 7. Frankly, I would be wary of speeding up too much, since I do not restart and shutdown too often in a day, and another 20-30 secs is not going to make much of a difference. Keep it clean with ccleaner, defrag, tuneup, winaso; and let it go on its own.
Chirurgical tweaks and step by step in order for the installation, all drivers updated (not built-in windows 7), + lot of things. So , if you want same configuration, Take a plane to LYON, i 'll wait for you with my Golf VR5, bring your pc, you have just to pay your travel, for the rest is totally free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a+ windsman
