Told you mine was shamefull, especially for a 2 year old machine with 2gb ram and a an Intel Q660 oc'd to 3.0 ghz.
you have a nice CPU .. the age of the PC is irrelevant .. what OS are you running? the 2GB was the first item i noticed as a possible bottleneck .. my laptop is 4 years old.. w/ the ancient Dual Core CPU ..lol and i hit around 85 .. i think it's because i have 4GB of RAM and im really anal about "Services.msc" and what programs are running in the background/startup..
Im running Win 7 Ultimate 32, i agree about the ram. Waiting to upgrade. My board verifys DMI Pool data at every startup, tried numerous things to resolve it but never managed to figure out the problem. Considering sending it back to Gigabyte.......
Mine also sucks at 75-85 secs for a core i7 920 processor. However, I am not worried by this. Not much tweaking and disabling.
lol...right now im using a laptop..so,it is not possible for me to mod any of its part..BUT,im really looking forward to custom-build PC..i like asus motherboard lol...but nevermind,at least right now i have a person to contact to.. and now..i am hijacking my own thread!!LOL!!!
yeahh..back to topic..which services should i set to manual?for better perfomance?i have only 4g ddr2 ram...
mine said 120, but in all honesty I don't care how long it takes as long it reboots is all I care. Its an OLD machine running Windows 7 Premium.
