The settings are not applicable for a older hardware Can not achieve such good quality Switched back to vlc with default settings
Hi guys, I'm in search of a decent player for non 4K movies (720/1080i usually) on my laptop. With all the below said.... ... am I right assuming, that MPC-BE and MPC-HC both offer the good balance of out of the box quality, where -HC only requires some small extra effort of installing madVR, and only if I need HDR? If I'm right, are there any reasons to choose -BE over -HC, if at the end of the day they both support HDR? Maybe some other significant differences to consider before making the final choice? Finally, where is KMP Player compared to MPC? I used it a while ago, but for my use case it's too overloaded with features/options I don't use, but the most I hated were ads of course... Thank you for your kindest comments!
I didn't say anything about VLC, the comparison was between -BE/-HC editions of MPC. AFAIK, -BE has a better interface, somehow better functionality and all necessary codecs built-in. Just wanted someone to comment on such comparison between them. Besides, which player (-BE/-HC/PotPlayer) is more user-friendly in terms of downloading subtitles from extrnal resources (e.g., Opensubtitles.org)?
