I have just spent the last 30 hours of my awake life putting in a new hard drive and re-installing all my software, drivers, and updates on my gateway NV51B91u Notebook. I was just about to do the last thing and flash the BIOS and in the middle of flashing the bios THE POWER WENT OUT! Yes, the power went out! What are the odds! Someone hit a pole from the snowy roads and knocked it out and after the power came back on, I went to turn on the laptop and all that happens is a blank screen and the fan runs. I get no post or BIOS! If anyone can please help me, I will be so greatfull....

its Insyde type so try file in usb fat32
P5Wx6116.fd (might be different filename) and take battery and power cord out.. hold FN ESC while plugging in power cord and pressing power button.

Thank You for the input, I will try that immediately. I am almost 99% sure though that it has Phoenix BIOS but I could be wrong. I have no idea where to get that BIOS file from. The only BIOS files I can find are on the Gateway website and it doesn't list the OEM BIOS. Only the updates. If you could let me know where you found that file I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!!

Oh I was told you have to use the original BIOS 1.03 that came with the laptop when flashing it. If I can use that one I'll give it a go!
