I have Windows 7 ultimate (6.1.7600 build 7600) installed and never bothered to upgrade to Service Pack 1. But now a new 4k native/512e harddrive is to be installed. And I've just read this article on microsoft: link removed: MS article regarding "kb982018" fix Suppose I am not able to upgrade Win7 with SP1 or the standalone KB982018 update/fix for this 4k thing. Will my system have trouble utilizing the 4k/512e drives? MS advertised Windows 7 supporting 4k drives (I know). But now I'm confused if they actually meant after the KB982018-fix/SP1 (see article) or prior also ?
