If you have win 10 enterprise, stick with it. If you load pro version with no internet, you can't activate it, even though it's no big deal, just annoying. Stay with enterprise and follow what post #19 said, that is the best way and the least amount of anymore time you'll spend installing/uninstalling. Just click on #post 19 ( EFA11 ) signature and you'll see KMSpico, use that and it will activate. All set.
I have already tried both these tools to activate but Win10 still saying that i need to activate the windows even though Windoes 10 bar is showing the windows as activated.
Hey did M$ change something. I have my Main system activated with insider program. I have my Lenovo office laptop activated with insider program. But I just installed Windows 10 build 10240 on my privet laptop and sided in with my Hotmail account. And it will not activate. I did a clean install on it. My desktop picture that is linked to my account and everything else is there from signing in. But will not activate.
yes it says it is activated, but on every restart, windows is saying i need to activate the windows else it will restart after every few minutes after 15th Aug, 2015
Open CMD as admin and type in Code: slmgr -dli What does it say for license status, Volume act, and configured. Running KMSpico and not rebooting, then running toolkit, probably wasn't good.
Your laptop should have Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 (of the version you're trying to install, i.e. Windows 7 Pro/Ult., 8.1 Pro - Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7 Home/H.Premium, 8.1 = Windows 10 Home). There is no relation of Windows 10 activation with your Microsoft account. You must upgrade from one of eligible version of Windows to get it activated for free. And then you can do clean install.
From where have you downloaded the build 10240 as mine is build 9848 which was downloaded from MS website .....Can I update this windows to a higher version using offline updates ? I downloaded it from here: www dotmicrosoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-10-enterprise
Then which is the last version which can be activated (below this version) which most of the people are using.
I updated my Win10 to 10525 build. But now it is asking me to activate it but I don't have internet, so i used MS Windows activator which showed error while starting saying it doesn't support the build.......? Pls help....
Make sure you don't enter a product key during upgrade and also your PC must be connected with internet.
To begin with, Windows Insider Preview Branch(build 10525, included too) cannot be activated using Phone activation, and *currently* activating it over Internet is also messy for clean installs. Could you please attach a screenshot of slmgr /dlv (run it in command prompt with admin privileges)?
