Few issues I can see: Try installing the loader again with the legacy option selected under the advanced options. If you then reboot and MGADiag says the Windows marker version is 0x0 then install the loader with 1 table and 400 bytes and again check MGADiag. When the loader is working well for you system your report will look like this:
1) Load up my application and go to the advanced options and select the legacy settings and then go back to the main screen and press install. 2) Once the system has restarted load up MGADiag and paste the report into notepad. 3) Look at the bottom of the report you just pasted and the Windows marker version should be 0x20001. If legacy mode fails to get the marker version to display as 0x20001 then again under the advanced options you set 1 table and 400 bytes (into the dropdown and text box) & install the loader. This is of course if you're using my loader and not the old Hazar 7Loader, in which case use mine as Hazar's is outdated and limited. * Edit * Please report back it if works. It can be a little worrying when people go quiet, makes me wish I had of said that you should also select to use the GRUB boot menu to make booting back into Windows easy should there by any issues.
Where is the advance options? when i run the program it brings me to a command prompt sorta window.. how do i get to advanced options?
Sounds like that'd be your problem, you're running the wrong version... sounds like Hazar's 7Loader which would explain why your SLIC is messed up. Click my signature and download the application, try the default options first.
I think you may have a recovery partition thats marked as active, im not sure if selecting to preserve the boot code would cure it but you can try selecting that option. Another possible fix may be to give the partition a letter. Maybe someone can help you with that, its really late here and I must now sleep.
Basically enter "diskmgmt.msc" into your start menu's search and then load up the program that it displays. Now, in the partitions you should have one thats got no letter and is 100MB in size, if you do then assign a letter to this partition and then retry the loader. If you don't have the 100MB partition then I guess you have an OEM partition instead which will be a big problem.
1. 2. 1. First check whether your Windows 7 is an OEM installation. If it is you will have slic 2.1 in your bios. Run Slic Dump Toolkit to confirm whether you have slic 2.1 2. The Serial Key on the sticky at the bottom of your computer is not an OEM Key and you can only use the key to activate directly when you call Microsoft. But if you have slic 2.1, you need not have to use that key. Either way, since you already have a legal copy of Windows 7 (unless you are cheated by "best buy", I will encourage you to activate it legally, that is either, a) by OEM activation method if Slic 2.1 is present in your bios b) otherwise call Microsoft and use your key at the bottom of the computer To activate by OEM method if you have the Slic, you just have to install the Cert and the corresponding key to your version of Windows 7 (Home Premium, Ultimate or others) If however you opt to use something else and RemoveWAT does not work for you, you need not look further than Daz's Loader. All mentioned above is in the Stickies. From the Diagnostic Report, you already have Slic 2.1
Do you have one thats actually listed as OEM? Currently I'm working on upgrading our GRUB version to a new one, it's a lot of work so sorry if my replies take a while.
